Employee Complaint/Grievance Process
The purpose of the Employee Complaint/Grievance Procedure (Grievance Process) is to provide employees an orderly process for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints. The SCISD Board of Trustees intends that, whenever feasible, complaints be resolved at the lowest possible administration level. The SCISD Board of Trustees encourages employees to discuss their concerns with their supervisor, principal, or other appropriate administrator who has the authority to address the concerns.
Even after initiating the formal complaint process, employees are encouraged to seek informal resolution of their concerns. An employee whose concerns are resolved may withdraw a formal complaint at any time.
